Also, there is no confirm quit feature. If you accidently (i misclicked) and lost all progress for one area.Pros:Great turn based gameFast paced (depending on your walking speed setting)No bugs i have found so far in the campaign (just smashed the orc army)You can replay most levels (except bonus room) with higher difficulty if you need to level a new hero/grindReally enjoyed certain levels where you had to fight alot of enemies. Was fun to strategize on spell/skill usage and to implement my team build to defeat the room.All in all this is more than worth the asking price if you like turn based dungeon stuff.. Well, it's relatively short, but I really enjoyed it. I appreciate that of all the "Hero Quest clones" I've played in the last year or so, this one seems to have incorporated the most new, fresh ideas. I especially liked the Dark Monk, even though he seemed slightly overpowered. That's probably why though, lol.The main thing I didn't like is that you only get 3 heroes for most maps, and you only get to use 4 once in the whole game! I would strongly have preferred to use 4 on most maps.. It's rather straight and simple for what it is. If i could recommend a slight change needed then it would be during the dungeon crawl/walk through you have to do each character individually for movement through each room which can get quite tedious. The game play is not very complex. You can also farm the items needed to upgrade skills so it can either be challenging or easy depending on how you want to go about it.I would not recommend this for the full price though. It is a good game for when you just want something simple to do.. If you have ever played Hero Quest the boardgame, this game will feel very familiar..The good:The art is really nice. The music and sound is good.Feels like an oldschool dungeoncrawler.6 character classes with few, but pretty interesting skills and items.The bad:Some people complain about the UI, but I really have no problems with it..Another thing is when you need to backtrack to a room you missed, and have to walk each individual character through all the rooms area transitions.. it takes a bit of time.It kind of feels the same as a DM in a game like Hero Quest, who do not want your party to jump to the end, but want you to roll dice for every move to get to the staircase, even if there are no enemies on the board.I have no major problem with that either.. I have played a few hours, unlocked all characters, but not finished the game yet.It does not seem that long, but it might be a game that is enjoyable to try to beat on hardcore,and something you can just jump into to take a couple of dungeons when you have some spare time.It is not the most complicated game, but it has enough there to be enjoyableand the price is on point, so yeah I recommend it!. I just spent a total of about 4 hours learning the editor and making a custom map, only to have it refuse to save my work due to an unknown error. Note: I haven't put a ton of time in yet, but I believe I have enough experience to write a review of the early access status of the title.Dark Quest 2 is a turn based RPG that reminds me of Darkest Dungeon. I make that comparison in all the best ways especially in the way that, like Darkest Dungeon, this game might be in early access but is full of content, mostly bug free and already has solid gameplay mechanics that are fun and engaging. You control a party of heroes in a quest to defeat an evil sorcerer. To do this, you must do battle in a series of dungeons while managing your team in town between missions. It's very addicting and well worth the budget price tag. Pros- Great art style and music- Challenging but fair gameplay- Runs great and is easy on the walletCons- Settings and characters are really genericSuggestions- Would be great if the maximum movement restriction could be removed when rooms are free of enemies.
