I like the idea behind the game but the game itself after awhile becomes a drag. I met every enemy within the first 5 hours of gameplay and saw the same things over and over after that. This however didn't bother me, I was considering leaving a positive review once I got a decent distance through the game. That was before I got to the bosses. Now I rant in random directions. First off, the English in this game isn't the greatest. The first side-quest you get isn't even something you can do until you're strong enough to explore deeper into the house. If you exit the game and come back you have a chance to get raided... the whole raiding in general doesn't seem important enough to be included in the game. Especially because it's annoying to go out and collect items (with limited carrying space) then get back to find that your last trips' worth is all gone. Sure, there are defenses you can build, but how are you supposed to build those defenses when you continually are getting raided? At the stage I'm in I have my defenses strong enough to win most raids, it's just that it makes early game kind of annoying, it doesn't really make the player want to stay.To jump to what I disliked the most... which occurred after getting to the 10th main quest to defeat a boss. I thought the boss would be a bit of a challenge compared to what all the other quests were (such as clear a room of beatable enemies to save a companion). Oh how I was wrong. At first I thought the first boss was always the same library boss after getting it 4 times in a row (mind you, failing each time) until I got another boss, the tower, which was just as extremely hard as the first one. With the library boss the attacks are not easy to dodge, not only that but the books that fall down go too fast for anyone to even try to dodge. Every single attack from the boss did 60 damage. There's no way to heal up during the battle (unless of course there's an item I didn't get to further in the game). The boss would start out slow and almost managable (besides falling books) but as you weakened it it would start sending more attacks and more attacks making it extremely difficult to survive. I could only ever get it down to half health before dying. After figuring out that there was another boss, I guessed that the player would be able to fight a boss every 10 quests. However, I realized that the game really wants players to continually grind until strong enough to beat the bosses. Continually grinding isn't fun which is why I have to leave this as a negative review.. It have some bugs ( not too much serious) but it's still a good game. Very fun! GJ Hiker!. Overall this is a good game, A mix between core structure of classic Castlevania and movement of megaman X. Sometime it feel a little bit repetition but it's not neccessary grinding especially if you want some think challenge. This is a good action rougerlike for a quick play. Should pick it, especially for discount price. The extremely poor combat wrecks what should be a very good game.So much of this game has promise, but the lack of a block essentially locks you into strange clunky mobility (There's no backwards dash) to avoid enemies, and the addition of fall damage to a platformer that's primarily vertical just makes it feel bad to play.. I would have to say that after playing this game for quite awhile it is pretty interesting and fun. I've seen only some of the story behind it; however it actually intrigues me when it comes to the diary pages that are randomly scattered across the house. When it came to the overall controls especially on keyboard, it was pretty simple. The only bad thing about it was how laggy it could get on the menus, but it could just be my computer. Now for the important part, the gameplay was quite fun (especially in the later bits of the game where you can triple jump and etc...).It is like a rogue-dungeon crawler, but you progress with it trying to protect a bedroom base; however it starts off very very slow paced (And the combat doesn't really change from spamming that primary weapon) . It's almost impossible not to hate the game for a little while due to how grindy it can get and how weak you start off. Not to mention the need to gather blueprints for weapons and important key factors that make youj survive the night. Even if it is a rogue like game, it takes quite an odd approach to it by ending every night with a chance of you to lose some important materials quite often ( you can build your way to defend the base and suc; however to a new player it's very difficult to build it and also want to upgrade your character, then again, you lose random junk most of the time). Not only do you lose quite a bit of progress, it's very difficult to actually make progress with how quickly the difficult ramps up the further you adventureAnnother thing to add is that the quests within the game are also super grindy that it takes multiple runs in order to complete them most of the time ( but you do get quite a load of rewards for completing them, and half the time you will already have completed them). As for the loot in the game, it's very minimum to blueprints ( minor accesories and etc.) and random materials that only get sorted in a basic 6 slotted backpack....and half the time you can't take everything and it becomes a loot hoarding adventure, meanwhile again your base is being ransacked anyways, nulifying your progress sometimes.I can't say that this game is for everyone, it is very addictive and fun; however it is very grindy and slightly the same from what I am seeing as the game progresses, the enemies are exactly the same ( not all the same, but may have the same attacks or features to them and in the certain areas); yet they can harm you in sooo many ways that you can barely go into a fight without getting a scratch since there is no exact dodge or block mechanic from what i have seen, but yeah, so far this game is slightly mehhhh.Overall though.. I do love the game despite it's flaws and issues, but i do have to say that i don't really know whether to recommend this game unless you really want to experience the story and a very grindy game that it offers. I won't say that you shouldn't not want the game because overall it's fun!. I buy this game just because i heard that this game is from my native nation (Vietnam) . And when i play it , i have to admit that this game is a totally disaster . , yes you have a cool workshop where you can upgrade your weapon , item but the game is so much bored . Just over and over and over kill dead then go home . +Gameplay (6/10)+Item upgrade system (8/10)+Graphic (5/10)
